Modeling an Automatic Transmission and Controller
Simscape Driveline™ is used to model a four-speed transmission. The transmission model is composed of planetary gears and clutches. Control logic for the clutches is modeled as a state machine in Stateflow®. The transmission model is integrated with a Simscape Driveline powertrain model that includes an engine, torque converter, gears, tires, and longitudinal vehicle dynamics. The full vehicle is tested against two drive cycles, and the simulation results are displayed in the Simscape™ Results Explorer.
