Metal and dielectric substrate selection and parameterization
Antenna Toolbox™ provides metal and dielectric material libraries. Antennas and antenna arrays can be constructed using different types of materials. Select antenna materials with considerations like electromagnetic losses, mechanical strength, and thermal properties. The values of the dissipation factor and dielectric constant are important when considering electric losses. The electrical losses result in performance degradation of antennas like less radiated power, broadening of return loss resonance, thermal effects at high power levels.
