How to Build a Heart Rate Detector Using Arduino and MATLAB
In this project, see how to use a Heart and Brain SpikerShield Bundle along with a TFT Touch Shield and an Arduino® to build a heart rate monitor. MATLAB®, Simulink®, and Fixed-Point Designer™ are used to show how you can implement filtering and heart rate detector algorithms on Arduino boards.
The workflow featured follows these steps:
- Test the algorithm in MATLAB using test data
- Test the algorithm on the Arduino using Simulink
- Embed the algorithm onto the Arduino
