COVID 19 Simulator
This is a GUI wrapping an age-stratified SIR-type model aimed to guide the planning of a policy to address COVID-19. The graphical interface allows for a simple exploration of the various possibilities while gaining an immediate sense of how different parameters affect the long-term results in different parameters.
The default parameters are tuned toward Israel, but can easily be configured to other countries. The interface is in English and Hebrew.
Note that the tool in the current format does not contain any statistical elements, it does not perform sensitivity analysis and does not display error bars. As such, it is a convenient tool for examining and comparing different policy measures and for highlighting top choices. It does not substitute for a deeper examination of the emerging possibilities.
The Simulator is provided strictly for public health, educational, and academic research purposes.
It is not a medical predictor and should be used for the informational purposes it is designed for: quantitative indications for policy design. Authors are not liable for any direct or indirect consequences of usage in this tool. Any use of the data is under the sole responsibility of the user.
The simulator was developed by a team of researchers from the Technion, together with a team from the Civic cabinet of epidemiologists and policy planners.
